A Lesson on "Protecting Yourself"---Preventing Sexual Harassment
Last semester, through a student's introduction in our documentary class, we were fortunate to invite Riza, the Public Relations Director of the OrphanCare Foundation, and her volunteer team to Hanxin college, to deliver a substantial and interactive lecture on Preventing Sexual Harassment.The lecture covered:
What is sexual harassment?
How to identify sexual assault and sexual violence
Basic knowledge of sexual health
How to protect yourself and support those around you
Riza and her team not only shared their professional knowledge but also prepared thoughtful Goodie Bags.
They also incorporated workshops into the lecture, allowing everyone to discuss in groups, share their insights, and truly understand how to deal with potential risks in real life through interaction.
We hope that all participants will bring the important knowledge they learned that day into their lives, and be more empowered to protect themselves and those around them in the future.
