Oneworld Hanxin College's 55th Graduation Exhibition: A Journey into Youthful Times at "Nanyang Nook"The 55th graduation exhibition, curated by students from Oneworld Hanxin College, "Nanyang Nook," will officially launch at 10:00 AM on November 7th at the Hanxin Hall. The two-day exhibition, themed "Nanyang Culture," blends local culture, youthful memories, and contemporary creativity to present a visual feast that combines cultural heritage with youthful vitality.
Collaboratively curated by 32 students from the Diploma in Broadcasting and Diploma in Media, the exhibition draws inspiration from the heartwarming Nanyang teahouses. These living spaces are not only a symbol of Nanyang culture but also hold the memories of students' university days—they sipped tea, discussed coursework, and conceived creative ideas. This is more than just an exhibition; it's a journey of farewell to youth and a tribute to culture.
A corner of tea, where the fragrance of tea nurtures youth and dreams
In line with the theme, the exhibition features a "Nanyang Kopitiam" area. Its immersive design recreates the atmosphere of a bygone era, allowing visitors to step into a real teahouse. On the opening day, the exhibition will be inaugurated by a lion dance, followed by an elegant performance by a Chinese orchestra the following day, infusing the exhibition with the rhythms and cultural charm of the Nanyang region. The interactive experience area will also feature fun games, a lucky draw, and Nanyang-themed photo-ops.
The event will also feature the premiere and screening of the graduation productions: the radio play "Rediffusion" and the short film "Mi."
"See" Nanyang, "Enter" Nanyang. This year's graduation exhibition is open to the public, and a campus open day will be held concurrently. Prospective students are welcome to visit and witness the graduates' creative achievements and cultural expressions, working together to preserve and carry forward Malaysia's Nanyang cultural heritage. Admission is free.
