Students visited the FINAS
To deepen students' understanding of the film production process and the professional operation of the film and television industry, led by Department Head Ms. Goh, recently sent 35 students to the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) for a visit and outdoor learning experience. Through hands-on observation and experience, students extended their classroom learning to real-world industry settings.During the visit, students toured FINAS's sound studio, foley and mixing studio, Virtual Production Studio, and a professional screening space equipped with a Dolby Atmos sound system, gaining firsthand knowledge of the equipment and technologies required for film production. From pre-production shooting and on-site recording to post-production sound editing and virtual shooting technology, each stage of production provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the film's creation process and further enhanced their appreciation of the professional division of labor and operational models within the film and television industry.
In addition to learning about advanced film and television production facilities, students also interacted with industry professionals through on-site explanations, gaining insights into the professional skills required for film creation and production, as well as industry development trends. This allowed classroom theory and practical application to mutually reinforce each other, further enhancing their learning outcomes.
